Hi I'm Mary Decker.
My family moved to beautiful North Carolina from the Chicago area.. I graduated from Illinois State University and later received my master's degree from National Louis University both degrees in education. I'm Nationally Board Certified which just means I love learning (hee-hee of course!) and want to be the best teacher I can be for your children.
My husband, Greg, and I live in Cary. Greg's the principal at Panther Creek H.S. in C.ary. We have two adult children, Josh and Molly, and a sweet poodle, named Tilly. Both of our kids went to O.C.E.. Josh lives in Philadelphia where he is a Permanency Supervisor. He works with social workers and foster families. Molly is a first grade teacher at Scotts Ridge Elementary right around the corner.. Her husband Mason is an engineer. They recently moved to a new home in Fuquay Varina.
For fun, Greg and I love to be outside with friends; riding bikes, walking, paddle boarding and kayaking. I also enjoy reading, crafting and decorating. My husband and I love to relax after a busy day on our porch or by our fire pit.
I'm amazed daily by the progress my precious kindergarten students make. Not a day goes by that I don't smile!
I love my job and I'm so thankful to be your child's kindergarten teacher!

Hi I'm Lisa Reynolds.
I'm from Alabama and moved to N. C. in 1989. I graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s degree in elementary education. I graduated, got married, and moved away all in the same year!
Before coming to Olive Chapel Elementary in 2014, I taught 3rd grade at Apex Elementary for almost 23 years. I have been blessed to work with so many amazing people over the course of my teaching career, and am especially enjoying being at OCE.
My husband and I have 3 grown children, Scott, Alex, and Abby. Scott and Alex are both college graduates. Abby is a sophomore at UNCC.. Music is a huge part of our lives, and in fact my husband and I met as we were both band members in college at U of A. I played trombone and he played saxophone. We are also big college football fans and in particular enjoy watching the Alabama Crimson Tide (Roll Tide!!)
